Governance & Policies

Posted on

At John Lyon’s Charity, strong governance and clear policies are at the heart of how we work. They help us remain transparent, accountable and consistent in the way we support children and young people across London.

Our policies set out the principles and procedures that guide our staff, Trustees and partners. They ensure that anyone who engages with us, whether a grantee, beneficiary, partner organisation or member of the public, knows what to expect and how to raise concerns if needed.

Our approach to governance and policies is shaped by three guiding principles:

  • Transparency – We are clear about the standards we uphold and make our policies publicly available.
  • Accessibility – We set out our policies in straightforward language, so they are easy to understand and use.
  • Accountability – We take responsibility for our actions and provide clear processes for raising and resolving concerns.

Together, these principles ensure that our policies support a culture of trust, integrity and safety across the Charity and its partners.
