Senior Communications & PR Manager
Flo joined John Lyon’s Charity in February 2020 as Communications, PR & Events Manager, a role created to lead and develop the Charity’s communications and public profile. Flo is responsible for creating and delivering the Charity’s overarching communications strategy, including annual forward planning, ensuring clear, consistent and impactful messaging across all platforms.
Working closely with the wider team, Flo develops compelling and innovative stories that highlight the Charity’s work and impact, alongside leading PR outreach and securing TV, radio and online media opportunities. Flo also manages and coordinates events of all sizes, from large-scale children’s campaigns to key Charity milestone celebrations.
Flo oversees the production of the Charity’s Annual Report and ensures all John Lyon’s Charity platforms remain current and engaging, including the website and social media channels. As part of her role, Flo also provides strategic support on issues management and crisis communications when required.
Outside of work, Flo is a passionate fundraiser, regularly supporting charity events to raise both awareness and funds, and co-hosts a podcast series with her husband exploring how the film genre has evolved over the years. Flo is also dog mum to Mabel the dachshund, who proudly holds the role of the Charity’s office dog.
