Ibironke Adeagbo (Ronke) joined John Lyon’s Charity in July 2025 to provide tactical financial management for the organisation. Ronke has over 29 years post- qualification experience of providing robust financial management, business partnering and system accounting. She qualified as a chartered accountant in 1996 with ACCA and has two other professional accountancy qualifications, CIPFA and ICAN. She is an accounting graduate and has a Masters/PGD from London South Bank University in Information Management.

Ronke’s experience is predominantly in the charitable and education sector. She was Director of Corporate services/ Bursar at the former Crossways College now St Aquinas – Christ the King college in Lewisham. She was Director of Finance at City YMCA and Financial controller at Transport for London (TFL), British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA), Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET),Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS), Leigh Academy Trust and Youth Endowment Fund (YEF). She served as a trustee on the board of British Safety Council, Turning Point and Royal Borough of Greenwich’s Probity and Conduct panel. She was college governor of Southeast London Colleges (Bexley) and a school governor at St Paul’s Academy in Abbey wood, London. She is an education advocate and passionate about giving vulnerable children access to quality education and is a board member and secretary to the board of IA-Foundation, a UK based charity that helps reduce out-of-school children in Africa. She was formerly treasurer of her church. She is training to become a Pastor.
