Chief Operating Officer
Amira joined the Charity as Chief Operating Officer in January 2025. She provides strategic leadership in the areas of financial sustainability and operational process. In addition to oversight of the Charity’s overall operations, Amira is responsible for day-to-day management of the Charity’s endowment, acting as point of contact for the Charity’s Estate Managers, Investment Managers and various property and financial lawyers.
Amira is specialised in operational design; process improvement and optimisation and she is excited to bring her knowledge and experience into John Lyon’s Charity to ensure the organisation’s approaches and processes support the team and the organisation in the delivery of the five-year strategy.
Amira holds a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Oxford and an MBA from Dauphine University – Paris. She has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance and medical management sector before shifting to the international development sector. Prior to joining the Charity, she was Head of Operations at the Ethical Tea Partnership, a non-profit organisation working with tea companies on implementing human rights projects in tea growing regions.
