Finance Manager
Emilia joined the John Lyon’s Charity as a Finance Manager at the end of September 2024 for a six-month contract. Her role entails reviewing financial records of all ledgers, monitoring, analysis and interpretation of the financial performance and reporting to the Senior Managers’ and the Trustees. In addition, and amongst other financial responsibilities, her duties also involve ensuring adequate cash availability at any time. She works closely with her finance colleague and the CEO.
Emilia grew up in Poland and relocated to United Kingdom in 1987 for family reasons. At the time she could not speak a word of English but despite this, she has integrated quickly into her new country and along her family responsibilities, she worked hard to gain her new second career.
Emilia holds an honours bachelor’s degree in mathematical sciences from the City University of London and is a member of the Association of Accounting Technician and the Certified Institute of Management Accountants. She has over a decade of experience, specialising in Management Accounting and Financial Accounting.
Emilia has devoted her career to working for charitable institutions and helping them to achieve their goals. Lately, she decided to take up contracts rather than a long-term appointment.
